Sportsgirl makes the switch to Australian made paper carry bags
Sportsgirl has partnered with Australian retail packaging manufacturer PaperPak™ to launch paper carry bags across stores nationwide.
The Sussan Group, which includes Sportsgirl, Sussan & Suzanne Grae, have made a commitment to transition all brands from plastic to sustainable paper carry bags, which can be recycled by customers at home through their kerbside bin.
Sportsgirl is the first of the Group’s brands to launch the new sustainable solution; followed by Sussan and Suzanne Grae who will roll out their new range of paper bags in the second half of 2022.
Partnering with an Australian business and supporting local manufacturing was important to the Sussan Group who have a long-standing relationship with PaperPak™.
The range provided by PaperPak™ achieves Sportsgirl’s key sustainability objectives including reducing use of single-use plastic and sourcing products from reputable, certified suppliers.
